It’s my little sister’s 20th birthday this week! Happy birthday, C! I have made these little zippered pouches before (here), and they are just so handy and cute… and easy to whip up.
I started with a pink zipper and then dug through my fabric stash for coordinating fabrics.
Grey and pink, polka dots and zebra stripes? Perfect! This time I also added a big bow to one side just to up the anty in the cuteness department.
It’s the perfect little bag to hold makeup or pencils or a sewing kit… or whatever junk needs a home.
This bag came together in no time, thanks to Ashley’s great tutorial at Make It and Love It. She has the best tutorials! So easy to follow with step-by-step pictures.
I’m definitely loving this little beaut!

I love the big bow! It really gives this pouch the WOW-factor! Just curious – do you tack down the center of the bow at all? Or is it sewn tight enough so that it doesn't gape? Thinking about giving it a go. Thanks for the inspiration!
Thanks, Mary Jo! I didn't tack down the bow, because it was sewn pretty tight and the fabric was pretty stiff, but you totally could. Just do it before you sew the pieces together.
