Hey all! I’ve got some exciting news that’s been keeping me very busy the last few weeks. I’m not quite ready to share yet, but stay tuned.
In the mean time, I’ve got a quick and easy project especially for other Mormon mommies out there. If you’re like me, you’ve got a big, fat stack of Friend magazines that you can’t bring yourself to throw out but don’t know what to do with.
Look familiar?
I decided to do something about that stack of magazines. I found some zippered notebooks on clearance after back-to-school was over. I filled them with page protectors, then I just went through my stack of magazines and ripped out any pages I really wanted to save.
I made two books. One is full of activites. My kids can use a dry erase marker right on the sheet protectors to do the puzzles and games over and over again.
The second book is full of pictures. Some are from The Friend and others are from The Ensign. The kids love to look at the pictures while I tell them the stories that go with each picture.
How’s that for an easy quiet book? Something to keep the kids occupied during church and no sewing or crafty skills required! And if you already have page protectors and a notebook, it doesn’t even cost anything! I wish I would have made these long ago!
