These pineapple candy bar wrappers turn a plain candy bar into a fun and memorable Christmas gift. Snag the printable tags and templates to make this simple gift for the holidays.
I’ve got a fun and simple little Christmas gift idea for you today. My 11 year old daughter wants to hand out some little gifts to classmates and a few friends this year, so we’re making these pineapple shaped candy bar wrappers and adding a tag that says:
Mele Kalikimaka is Hawaii’s way to say Merry Christmas to you!
Did you sing that while you read it? LOL.
Yep, we went for a Christmas pun based on Bing Crosby’s hit Christmas song, Mele Kalikimaka.
This is a quick and easy Christmas craft and I have the templates for the green pineapple leaves and a printable tag ready to go for you, so you can knock this out in one afternoon.
To make these, you will need the following supplies.
Materials Needed
- Hershey’s Chocolate Bars (Cookies & Creme or Milk Chocolate)
- Printables (get them at the bottom of this post)
- White Cardstock
- Green Cardstock
- Yellow Cardstock
- Clear Tape
- Scissors
- Ribbon or Baker’s Twine, optional
Random, but I suggest making 12 of these at a time if you can. The candy bars come in six packs, the printable tags are six per page and the pineapple toppers are 4 per page, so the math works out splendidly if you make 12. Haha, just wanted you to know.
Instructions
Step 1: Print the tag design onto white cardstock. Print the leaf design onto green cardstock. Cut out both designs with a pair of scissors. There are six tags per sheet and 4 leaves per sheet.
Step 2: Cut the piece of yellow cardstock in half hamburger way so you have two fat rectangles (not hot dog way where you end up with two skinny rectangles). Wrap the yellow paper around the candy bar and tape it down.
Step 3: Tape a green leaf piece to the top of the candy bar. In the video below, I taped it to the outside of the yellow cardstock, but after making a few, I realized it looked better to tape them inside the cardstock so the tape doesn’t show.
Step 4: Tape the tag to the front of the candy bar or punch a little hole in the tag and attach it with a ribbon and cute bow.
And that’s all it takes! Aren’t they cute?! They’re the perfect gift for my daughter’s friends. Inexpensive but cute, a unique Christmas theme that is fun and lighthearted… they’re just so great! I am ticked with these cute little gifts.
