We recently got back from a trip to Belize and one of our favorite things we had there were all of the different tropical fruity drinks. When we got home, we were still craving that delicious island flavor and wanted to share that part of our trip with our kids. So I came up with this fun, very Americanized version of a pina colada… a virgin pina colada float!
It’s made with pineapple flavored soda, coconut syrup and vanilla ice cream, so it’s not really even close to authentic, but it is super tasty and our kids loved being able to try something new. It’s the perfect summer treat for a hot afternoon. So refreshing!
To make your own pina colada ice cream floats, you will need:
Virgin Pina Colada Ice Cream Floats
- Fanta Pineapple Soda
- Torani Coconut Flavored Syrup
- Vanilla Ice Cream
- Maraschino Cherries
Fill a glass with two scoops of vanilla ice cream. Sprinkle 1 tablespoon of syrup over the ice cream. Carefully pour the soda over the ice cream. Top with a cherry.
It’s such a simple recipe, but the flavors are so good! I hope you are enjoying your summer so far and find an excuse to whip up these delicious drinks.
