So I mentioned in another post that this is the year of knitting for me. Once a week, I get together with an awesome group of ladies to knit. Knitting night is the best night of the week! I love my knitting girls! So I thought I’d make each of them a special ornament for a Christmas gift this year. And what could be more fitting than a miniature knitting bag?
The bag itself is made of felt. I followed THIS method to make the bottom boxed.
Then I stuffed the bags with batting and added little balls of yarn on top. I stitched the year on the outside pocket and hot glued it onto the bags.
Then I made little knitting needles using colored toothpicks with beads placed on the ends.
All that was left was to add a loop for hanging from the tree.
I am kind of in love with these little guys. Why is everything so much cuter when it’s miniature?! Ahhh!

Those are so super cute! I am a very inexperienced knitter (I can only make scarves!) but I think I may need one for my tree because they are just that sweet.
I have been knitting for less than a year, but I've learned so much by just trying harder projects and watching Youtube tutorial videos until I figure out how to do each step of the pattern. It's been so fun!
Oh, and I think you should definitely make yourself an ornament. 😉
