How to Make A Light Table

I recently had a bunch of stuff that I needed to trace (for THIS advent calendar pattern). My artist mother taught me a brilliant trick that works really well. And you probably have everything you need at home already, so it’s my kind of solution! 

To make your own temporary light table, you only need three items:

1. A tall (clean) garbage can or laundry hamper
2. A lamp minus the lamp shade
3. A piece of glass from a big picture frame or table top

Stick the lamp inside the hamper, put the glass across the top and that’s it, baby. Now you can turn the lamp on and trace to your heart’s content.
