Stuffed Pizza Snake
1 pkg. pepperoni
1 tsp. parsley
2 cups mozzerella cheese, shredded
1 garlic clove, pressed
1 egg
1 teaspoon italian dressing powderUse frozen bread dough or your favorite bread dough recipe. Roll into a large rectangle and add filling down center. Roll up, pinching ends to seal filling in. Shape like a snake. Mix food coloring with egg white and brush stripes on snake. Bake at 325 degrees for about 20-30 minutes, until golden brown.
Monster Mouths
3 apples
lemon juice
slivered almondsSlice apples into quarters. Remove core. Slit a mouth into the outside of apple and dip in lemon juice to prevent browning. Poke slivered almonds into the apple to look like monster teeth.
Jello Worms
These worms were the hit of the night. They were definitely worth the effort.
Jello Worms
1 package strawberry Jello
3/4 ounce unflavored gelatin (3 envelopes)
3 cups boiling water
3/4 cup whipping cream
green food coloring, about 10 drops
100+ plastic straws with the bendy necks
In a large mixing bowl, stir the two types of gelatin together and pour the boiling water over it. Stir until fully dissolved. Let gelatin cool for 15-20 minutes.
While it’s cooling, you need to find a container for your straws. Ideally you want one with straight sides to keep the straws upright. It needs to be as tall or taller than the straws. Smooth out the bendy part of the straws and place them in the container. Pack them in tightly and make sure the bottoms of the straws are flush with the bottom of your container. You may want to put a rubber band around the tops of the straws if they aren’t staying together very well.
Now stir the whipped cream into the gelatin mixture and add about 10 drops of green food coloring. Begin pouring the Jello into the tops of the straws. Let the Jello cool for at least 8 hours.
To remove the Jello worms from the straws, gently run the whole bundle of straws under warm water. Remove one straw. Hold one end of the straw firmly and use your other hand to squeeze the Jello out of the straw. My hands got really tired after doing a few, so I got a pair of pliers to help me hold the end of the straw. Much easier! I also enlisted my husband’s help. He ran the straws under warm water and I squeezed the worms out onto a wax-paper lined sheet pan.
After all the worms are out of the straws, chill until serving time.
Graveyard Pudding
It’s just chocolate pudding, whipped cream and crushed up Oreos with a gummy worm poking out of it. But it’s easy and delicious. Orignially, we were going to add little graham cracker tombstones with the kids’ names on them, but it didn’t happen. Maybe next year.
And here’s the whole dinner together, including Witches Finger breadsticks and Monster Booger Dip (spaghetti sauce with green food coloring mixed in). Yum yum, so fun!

LOVE these!! Yours turned out perfect!! I am having a "bug" party for my son's bday and want to add these to the dessert table. Would it be possible to make the worms the day before the party, take them out of the straws and keep them refrigerated in a bowl overnight? I don't want to be pressed for time day of. THANKS!!!

I think it would work to make the worms the day before. The only problem I can foresee is that they might stick together. But I think they will be fine. Good luck! A bug party sounds super fun!

Did you do two colors on those worms?? It looks like they're darker on the bottom.

Michelle-
I did not use two colors… it did that on its own as the ingredients kind of separated. Cool, huh?!
