Glow-In-The-Dark Dot Painted Pumpkin Video Tutorial
Materials
- Pumpkin (real or fake)
- Matte Black Chalk Paint
- Glow-in-the-Dark Craft Paint
- Paint Brush
This painting technique works on real or fake pumpkins. I used an inexpensive foam pumpkin from Dollar Tree in this demonstration. The only extra step you’ll need to take if using a real pumpkin is giving it a good cleaning to ensure a clean surface for painting.
You can purchase all of the supplies you’ll need for this craft from your local craft store.
Instructions:
- Paint the entire pumpkin a solid color. I chose black paint so that the glowing paint would really pop, but you can do any color combo you’d like. It may take two coats of paint to achieve even coverage.
- Dip the end of a paint brush into the glow paint and begin making a circular pattern around the top of the pumpkin. Keep going with row after row of dots until you are satisfied with your design.
Of course you can paint any design you choose with glow-in-the-dark paint. Anything goes!
Once the paint is dry, turn out the lights and enjoy the magical glow! I think these painted pumpkins would be a huge hit on the porch when it’s time for the trick-or-treaters to stop by!
Pin it so you don’t forget it!
