A Gift of Memories

Fill a container with special notes full of memories and give it as a sentimental gift perfect for parents or grandparents.

This gift idea was inexpensive and to put together. I started with a clear paint can that you can find at any store that sells scrapbooking/craft supplies. (I bought mine with a coupon, of course.) Then I kept the decorating simple–just covered the can in paper and added some little embellishments.

The entire can is full of little notes from me and all of my siblings recalling funny, special, silly, crazy memories from growing up. My parents said they had so much fun reading a new card each day and thinking about the memories. I’m sure any loved one would appreciate this gift. And it was very inexpensive to make. All it took was a few scrapbooking supplies, some time and a lot of pondering on the past.
