There’s still time to add a touch of Fall to your home decor, especially with a project as easy as this. No sewing or painting skills required!
Get the look of watercolor with this simple technique. It’s hard to see in pictures, but these leaves are gold and glittery. They are so pretty and fun for Fall.
To make your own DIY Fall pillow, you will need the following supplies:

Begin by cutting a leaf shape into the stencil material. When using the Cricut stencil material, attach it to the cutting mat with the blue side up. I set my machine to the stencil setting and it cut like a dream.
Peel the stencil away from the backing paper, then press it firmly to the pillow cover. Make sure all the edges are pressed down firmly so the paint doesn’t bleed through.
Place a piece of wax paper or tin foil inside the pillow cover to keep the paint from soaking through to the back side of the pillow.
Spray the paint on to the fabric, taking care to avoid overspray.
The paint pooled on the plastic stencil, so I just pushed the excess paint back on to the fabric.
Carefully move the stencil and repeat until your whole pillow is covered in leaves.
Let the fabric dry completely. Use an iron to heat set the paint. Cover the design with a clean piece of paper, then press the hot iron over it for 60 seconds.
Then all that’s left is to add your pillow form, zip it up and place it on your sofa.
