Easy Football-Themed Party Decorations

It’s football season and that means lots of excuses to have friends over for Game Day parties. Today I’m sharing a few simple football themed party ideas that are quick to put together and add a lot of festive fun.

The first project is a DIY football field tablecloth. To make one, you need:

• Green Plastic Tablecloth
• White Glitter Washi Tape
• Ruler and Scissors
• White Letter Stickers (or cut with craft cutting machine)

This project is super simple. Just roll out the washi tape in a big rectangle, then add in the end zone lines and 50 yard line. Use a ruler if you need help staying straight and keeping things evenly spaced. To make the small yard lines, I cut the washi tape in half.

To make the “end zones”, I cut letters out of white cardstock using my craft cutting machine,  but you could also use letter stickers. The font is a free font called Superstar M54, in case inquiring minds need to know. I used a Scotch® Create Glue Pen to attach the letters to the tablecloth, since it has a fine tip and makes gluing small letters much easier.

Doesn’t the tablecloth  make the cutest backdrop for all of the football treats?! 

The next football party craft is the cute treat containers you see in the picture above. To make them, you need:

• White Glitter Tape
• Black and White Striped Washi Tape
• Glue Pen
• Brown and White Cardstock
• Clear Treat Containers with Lids

I bought everything for these parties at Walmart. I found the treat containers in the paper plate aisle. The washi tapes and glue pens were in the paper crafting aisle, which is next to the greeting cards.

First, cut circles from cardstock to fit inside the lid.

Then add the football laces with the white glitter tape.

For the referee lid, cover a piece of white cardstock with the black and white striped washi tape, then trim off the extra around the edges. 

Using the glue pen, add the letter R to look like a ref jersey. Once again, the font is Superstar M54.

Then fill your treat containers with popcorn, nuts or any other fun munchie snack mix.
