This cute DIY Valentine’s Day wreath is made out of Duck Tape.
I thought it would be a fun challenge to try to make a giant bow out of Duck Tape, and what better month for it than February? A giant red bow is just so fun for Valentine’s Day.

Today I’m going to show you how to make a festive wreath out of Duck Tape. You can choose any color and pattern combination to make this wreath work for any holiday. Choose any Color Duck Tape for the bow and any Printed Duck Tape for the wreath and it will turn out unique and awesome. How cool is that?!
Materials Needed
- Color Duck Tape
- Printed Duck Tape
- Foam Wreath Form – Approx. 14 Inches
- Scissors
- Ruler or Cutting Mat
Instructions
Step 1: Wrap the foam wreath form with patterned Duck Tape until the whole thing is covered. I found the best success getting it smooth by keeping firm tension on the tape and placing it at a slight angle so that it would wrap around the foam at an offset.
Step 2: Cut three 18 inch strips of red Duck Tape and attach them together by overlapping each strip by about 1 inch. Place these strips sticky side up.
Step 3: Repeat step 2, then place this new piece onto the first piece with sticky sides together to form a large double-sided sheet of Duck Tape.
Step 4: Repeat the same process again so that when you’re done, you have two double sided sheets made of Duck Tape.
Step 5: Download the bow pattern by clicking on the blue button at the bottom of this post. Print the bow pattern onto copy paper. Cut out then tape the two bow pieces together along the dotted lines. Trace the pattern onto the Duck Tape sheets and cut out all of the pieces.
Step 6: Loop the two outer edges of the bow piece into the center and secure.
Step 7: Attach the center bow piece onto the back of the bow, then loop it around and attach it again on the back. This forms the center loop of the bow.
Step 8: Attach the two bow tails to the top of the wreath, then attach the bow on top of the tails with loops of tape.
Then your wreath is all done and ready to hang up and enjoy all month long. I think that big red bow is just so happy and cute and I’m always a sucker for a graphic black and white pattern. Plus the wreath is weatherproof, so you could even hang it on a window or somewhere outside that gets wet with no problems. How cool is that?
