I’ve got two little girls at my house, and that means I’ve also got a million hair bows. I got tired of digging through the hair bow bin trying to find the one I was looking for, so I decided to make a hair bow organizer to hang on the wall in the girls room.
I made these arrows as decor for my craft room and decided they would make a perfect hair bow holder!
To make an arrow hair bow holder, you will need:
- wooden dowel
- scrapbook paper
- hot glue gun
- Elmers glue stick
- lace or ribbon
Cut the paper into strips wide enough to wrap around the dowel. Cover them liberally with the glue stick, then wrap them around the dowel and keep pressing until the glue dries enough to stick.
Use hot glue to attach ribbon to dowel. Cut an arrow point and an arrow tail and secure them to the ends of the dowel with hot glue.
And that’s all there is to it! To attach mine to the wall, I made a small ribbon loop in the center of the arrow and attached it with more hot glue. Then I nailed one small brad into the wall and hung the arrow from it. I put little pieces of sticky tac (you know, that blue stuff teachers use on posters?) under the arrow head and tail to keep the whole thing from shifting.

That's really sweet and modern. My daughter would have loved this when she was little, sometimes I wish I could go back and make some of the lovely things I see for her – she's 21 now and sadly doesn't wear bows in her hair any more 🙁
They grow up too quickly, don't they? I just have to remind myself of that when I'm cleaning peanut butter fingerprints off my walls. 😂
