I love wrapping paper. Oh man, it’s almost as tempting to me as scrapbook paper. I just want to collect all the cute prints! Today I’m going to share some creative gift wrapping ideas that hopefully will give you some new ideas to use as you wrap gifts for your family this holiday season.

Idea No. 1- DIY Curly Gift Topper Using Scrap Wrapping Paper

First off, you know how you always end up with those little pieces of leftover paper? Here’s one way you can put them to good use.

Cut the paper into long skinny strips, then use a pair of scissors to curl it the same way you would curl actual curling ribbon. Just run the paper along the edges of scissors and it will curl right up. And Hobby Lobby wrapping paper is the best for this because it’s so thick. It doesn’t tear and you can get really nice, boingy curls.

Tape all the ends of the curls together onto the present, then fluff it up for a perfectly matching curly bow.

Idea No. 2- Mini Stocking Gift Card Holder

Sometimes a gift card or cash is the best gift. But you can give it in a cute way!

Grab a cute mini stocking (they’ve got lots of cute styles), dress it up with some festive ribbon, then add a wooden monogram. Then I saw this pearl bow hair clip and thought that would be a really cute addition, so I clipped it onto the ribbon. And now look at this cute gift card holder!

Idea No. 3- Wrap A Gift with Tea Towels

Hobby Lobby has SO many cute Christmas tea towels to pick from that I just had to try wrapping a gift with them. Most come in a two pack, so it worked out perfectly to wrap a gift with two.

Lay two tea towels out flat going opposite directions. Place your gift in the center, then fold the sides of the first towel up, keeping everything smooth. Fold the outside towel up, then secure them both in place with a big rubber band.

Then after some fluffing and tucking, you’ll end up with something like this:

I kind of looped the ends of the white tea towel down and tucked them in to the rubber band, then fluffed the green part up and added a sprig of berries and pine cones plus a cute tag.

I love that the “wrapping” of this gift is also a gift that the recipient can use after opening it.

Idea No. 4- Varsity Letter Stickers

Have you noticed the varsity style letter patches trending? I found a holiday pack of stickers, so I couldn’t resist personalizing a gift with them.

This was so easy… literally just peel the backing paper off the stickers and add them to a wrapped gift, but seriously it turns out so cute! Such a fun way to personalize a gift. Just another thought… you could stick the letters to the gift using loops of tape so that the gift recipient can still use them as stickers. That’s kind of a fun idea!

Idea No. 5- Reusable Snowman Gift Tower

My favorite part about this next gift is that you can make it once, then reuse it year after year. Here are a few of the supplies you’ll need:

Use hot glue to attach button eyes and smile plus the cutie pie carrot nose to the smallest box. Glue the snowman hat to the lid of the smallest box. The plaid ribbon and red buttons go on the medium box, then you just stack the three together to make the cutest snowman!

After Christmas, the boxes can stack inside of each other to store for next year. You’ll have to break off Frosty’s nose to make them fit, but hey… he won’t mind as long as you glue it back on next year. LOL.
