Count down the days to Christmas with this giant printable Christmas countdown coloring poster.
After sharing the printable Halloween poster a bit ago, I got several requests to make a Christmas coloring poster countdown and I’m so glad you all requested it. It turned out so cute and it’s going to be so much fun for my kids to use this holiday season.
The coloring page is numbered 1-25 and there is a different little Christmas image for every day in December leading up to Christmas. Each day your child finds the date and colors that part of the picture.
I feel like it’s always kind of hard to get an idea of scale on the internet, but this poster is HUGE! Can you tell from the picture? I printed it at Staples using the Blueprint option and it is formatted to print at 18 inches by 24 inches. It’s the size of a poster, which just makes it feel extra fun and special. And even better, it cost less than $3 to print.
I’m going to hang my giant Christmas coloring page in the hallway outside my five year old’s bedroom. When he gets home from Kindergarten each day, I’ll let him find the right number to color.
This activity is just so great in so many ways. It promotes creativity, is great practice with small motor skills, reinforces number recognition and gives you a chance to connect with your child and talk about and build anticipation for an upcoming holiday. And best of all, it is super easy to pull off on your end.
