Fill a clear Christmas ornament with the supplies to make a beaded bracelet and you have a festive Christmas gift perfect for older kids and tweens to give to their friends.
If you need a cute and on-trend gift idea for your older elementary or tween daughters to give to their friends, I thought I’d share this fun idea. Beaded friendship bracelets are super popular right now thanks to T Swift, so I think this gift will be a huge hit. Instead of just handing out bracelets, let your child’s friend get in on the crafty fun… and give a mini bracelet kit inside of a clear Christmas ornament!
Let me show you exactly how to put this together.
Materials Needed
- Clear Ornaments (2.5 inch)
- Bracelet Beads
- Stretchy Bracelet Cord
- Printable Tags (grab those at the bottom of this post)
- White Cardstock
- Ribbon
- Scissors
You can buy beads at any craft store and you can use any type of bead for this gift. Here are a few of my favorite Christmas themed bead packs:

Step 1: Download the tag file below and print out the design onto white cardstock. Cut out the tags and punch a hole.
Step 2: Measure out about 12 inches of stretchy bracelet cord. Gather enough beads to fill about seven inches of length.
Step 3: Take the metal ornament hanger off the top of the ornament and place the string and beads inside the ornament.
Step 4: Attach the tag to the ornament with a pretty piece of ribbon.
And that’s it! Package the ornament in a cute gift bag and they will be so fun to hand out to friends or give to your little nieces or granddaughters. They are quick to put together, unique and totally customizable. A perfect crafty Christmas gift!
