Watermelon and lemonade themed party decorations will add a fun pop of color to your summer drink station.
Watermelons and lemonade… they just scream summer fun, don’t you think? It’s not too late in the season to host a party with neighbors or friends and these easy party ideas are sure to be a huge hit.
As part of the Wayfair Homemakers Program, this month I was challenged to style a bar cart. It was so fun to put together and I can’t wait to show you all of the cuteness.
For the challenge, I chose this farmhouse style bar cart and I just love using it for parties. It’s so nice to be able to set up a separate drink station. This particular bar car features wheels, so I can move it around depending on where we decide to par-tay. I love that it’s white and very classic in design so that it will fit with almost any party theme I might pick in the future. Wayfair has a lot of awesome bar carts to choose from in every style and color you could wish for, so head over there and tell me which one you’d pick and how you’d style it.
This bar cart features a handle on one side and I can’t tell you how nice it is to have a dish towel close at hand for any little spills that happen (and let’s face it… there are ALWAYS spills at the drink station!)
I love that this bar cart has drawers so I have a secret little place to stash extra napkins, straws, treats, plates, etc. Shhh… don’t tell my kids about the candy!
My favorite part of this party setup might just be the cute little watermelon and lemon garland. I downloaded a $0.99 cut file from the Silhouette Design Store and used colored cardstock to create the fruit shapes. Each one is a full circle that I folded in half over baker’s twine and glued together.
Look at that garland… stinkin’ cute!
I rummaged through my party stash and pulled out paper fans, balloons and paper lanterns and used the bottom tier of the cart purely for decoration. The extra pop of color really makes the drink table seem special and drives home the theme.
I also found some cute pink paper straws and green polka dot napkins. It’s all about carrying the color scheme into as many different elements as possible.
Can we talk about these drinks for a minute? When I saw them in the store, I just had to buy them. The colors and flavors were too perfect!
I filled my drink dispenser with my favorite homemade lemonade recipe, but my fizzy watermelon spritzer recipe would have been the perfect drink to make for this party.
This party setup was easy to put together, but the cheery pops of color make a big statement. If you’re looking for a perfect theme for your next summer party, it’s watermelons and lemonade for the win!
