I woke up this morning in the mood to sew. Maybe it’s because I cleaned my craft room. Nothing like a clean desk to tempt me to mess it all up again. So I whipped up The Itty Bitty Baby Dress in no time. And the best thing about baby dresses is they hardly take any fabric, so I was able to find some scraps in my stash. I changed a few details from the original pattern… nixed the piping around the waistline and added a contrasting band at the bottom of the skirt and a little ruffle detail on the bodice. All together it was very simple to make and Rae gave very good directions.
Here’s a close-up of the bodice and the adorable bow straps:
I made the little flower hair bow following a picture TUTORIAL I PINNED. It was also very easy, but turned out so sweet.
I really needed this project today. It reminded me why I love to sew. It’s so fun to finish something! Now I just need to finish cooking this baby so I can dress her up in her new outfit!
