This candy robot is the perfect Valentine’s Day craft for kids.
If you’re looking for a fun and easy Valentine’s Day craft, you could try building a robot out of candy. This cute candy robot would make a great gift to give to your children on Valentine’s Day or it would be a fun craft to make in a school class or for your child to hand out in lieu of a paper Valentine’s Day card.
Do you give gifts to your children on Valentine’s Day? Or do you only give gifts to your sweetheart? In our family, my husband and I always surprise our kids with gifts at the dinner table on Valentine’s Day. Then we serve some kind of meal that’s all pink or all heart-shaped. It’s a fun and silly little way to show them that we love them.
To make a candy robot valentine, you will need the following supplies.
Materials Needed
- Large Box Conversation Hearts
- Small Box Conversation Hearts
- Reeses Mini Peanut Butter Cups
- Individually Wrapped Kit Kats (or Smarties would work well too)
- Hershey’s Kisses
- Dove or Hershey’s Heart Shaped Chocolates
- Pink or Red Scrapbook Paper
- Hot Glue Gun + Gluesticks
These items are just a suggestion. You can really use any candies you’d like as long as you get them to look like a robot in the end. This is just how I built mine.
Instructions
Step 1: Cover the two candy boxes with cute scrapbook paper. This is a great opportunity to use all those little pieces in your stash.
Step 2: Use hot glue to attach two heart eyes to the smaller box and Hershey Kiss ears to each side.
Step 3: The large candy box will be the robot’s body. Glue a Reeses cup to the top of the large box and attach that to the small box. This piece is the neck.
Step 4: Glue candy arms to each side of the robot.
Step 5: Stack three Reeses together to make a leg, then repeat for the second leg, then attach those to the bottom of the large box.
Step 6: Finish off the robot with a heart shaped candy on the chest area.

And yes, the robot can stand all on its own. Gah! Does it get any cuter? I don’t think so, people!
