It’s no secret that I have a love affair with Hobby Lobby. Don’t get me wrong, I love all craft stores. But there’s just something about Hobby Lobby that makes my heart pitter patter. So today I thought it would be fun to take you shopping with me. I want to share all of my favorite Hobby Lobby finds with you. These are the things you don’t want to miss next time you go. The best of the best at Hobby Lobby!
1. Home Decor
Hands-down my favorite part of Hobby Lobby is the home decor. They have so many great items: giant wall art, cute wooden signs, mirrors, chalkboards, calendars, shelf decor, stylish storage baskets and bins, vases, clocks… you name it, they’ve got it! Here are a few of the home decor pieces that caught my eye:
It’s the perfect decoration for my kitchen island! A few months ago I snagged these galvanized metal baskets to hang on either side of the art above my couch. Here’s a view from back at Christmas time:
I change out the fillers and decor seasonally. In a few more weeks, I’ll be able to add back in my spring florals! Yay!
2. Decorative Knobs and Hooks
Have you ever walked down the knob aisle at Hobby Lobby? Boy, oh boy. They have dozens and dozens of gorgeous knobs.
In fact, they have so many pretty styles that I couldn’t pick just one. So I switched out the plain knobs on my craft room desk and picked all different mismatched knobs just so I could have an excuse to buy some of my favorites!
3. Fabric
My next favorite thing to buy at Hobby Lobby is fabric. They have super on-trend prints and even carry home decor weight fabric and cute knits… which are really hard to come by at most fabric stores! Here are a few fabrics that I fell in love with:
I bought the bottom fabric a few months ago and I plan to recover the chairs in my craft room with it. That navy floral may come home with me for some throw pillows and the pink and white gingham would be so pretty in my girls’ room!
Here are two projects I’ve made in the past with Hobby Lobby fabric:
The matching polka dot skirts for my girls were for Easter. My youngest was so small then… and could you just die from the cuteness of her sad little face?! Be still my heart!
I also used Hobby Lobby fabric to make this super easy sewing machine dust cover.
4. General Craft Supplies
Every craft store has craft supplies… duh. But Hobby Lobby really stands out for a few specific craft items in my mind.
- Their glitter is amazing and a good price, too.
- They have the biggest selection of patterned felt I’ve ever seen.
- Their ribbon is the cutest and a lot of the patterns coordinate with their fabric lines, so that gives you some really fun options for crafting.
- They also have awesome wrapping paper, especially at Christmas time… the rolls are HUGE and the paper is really thick and nice.
Another favorite are these rolls of patterned craft paper:
I bought the black and white pattern to line some drawers in an old dresser. Having such a long piece of paper really opens up the project possibilities.
And I can’t talk about favorite craft supplies without mentioning this felt ball garland:
It’s so adorable I bought two. ‘Nuff said.
5. Yarn
Hobby Lobby has their own brand of yarn, so when you walk down the yarn aisle, you’ll see yarns you never knew existed. Whenever I’m dreaming up a knitting or crochet project, I start at Hobby Lobby. I was there a few days ago and noticed they have a good selection of super bulky yarn that would be great for arm knitting. This is how we feel about Hobby Lobby yarn:
I crocheted a baby blanket for my new nephew this past summer and the yarn is incredibly soft, but not hairy and has the prettiest two-tone color. It was a dream to work with.
6. Floral
Confession: sometimes in the dead of winter, I like to walk down the floral aisles at Hobby Lobby and pretend it’s spring.
Here’s a tip for you in the floral department. The flowers in the front that are sold individually are much more expensive than the flower bunches like the ones in the picture above. Whenever I have a floral project, I head straight to the back of the floral department and try to find a bunch of flowers. Then I cut them apart to use for whatever I need.
7. Planners
This Agenda 52 planner is what I’m using for 2018 and I am so excited about it. It’s super functional and stinkin’ cute and the stickers make it fun to plan out my crazy life. Get my best planner hacks here.
8. Unfinished Wood
We have enough scrap wood left over from our house remodeling that I could probably make craft projects for years. But sometimes it is so nice to just buy instead. Look at all these blank wood signs just waiting for some crafty goodness:
Like a fall sign…
or a good wood slice craft!
If you want little wood slices, Hobby Lobby is the place to go. Best selection and best price too!
9. Seasonal Decor
Whenever I get the itch to decorate for holidays, I stop by Hobby Lobby. Right now they’ve got Valentine’s Day, St. Patrick’s Day and Easter decor out on the shelves and I am seriously considering going back for the little Valentines Day camper in this picture. Can you spot it? Ridiculously cute!
10. Decorative Glass Jars
Hobby Lobby has an entire aisle of glass jars. That’s a lot of jars!
That’s where I found these cuties I used for my spice rack:
The button jars in this photo are old Smuckers jars my husband’s grandma collected her buttons in and gave to me when she died, but it’s still a cute way to use glass jars.
11. Kids Room and Nursery Decor
Now that our kitchen remodel is done, I’m starting to get the itch to fix up the bedrooms. Once I paint the walls, I’ll be heading to Hobby Lobby for kids room decor. These are just a few of the displays that had me swooning.
The dinosaur stuff? I might have another baby just so I can decorate a nursery with that. Seriously though.
Well there you go, my favorite Hobby Lobby finds. Thanks for shopping with me! The weather outside might be frightful, but Hobby Lobby is always delightful. Ha!
