This “Letters to Santa” themed Christmas tree is full of the magic and whimsy of Christmas.
I’m so excited to be sharing my 2017 Christmas tree with you today. The idea for this year’s theme came to me after Christmas last year and I have been waiting for an entire year to see the vision for this tree come to life. I created a “Letters to Santa” themed tree! I am so happy with how it turned out. It’s such a fun theme and there are some really adorable details on this tree that I just love.

I found cute little paper mache mailboxes and painted them to match the color scheme of the tree. The teeny tiny ones are my favorite.
I also decided to create some vintage style air mail letters to Santa. And I’m offering them to you as a free printable! They are adorable on my tree, but I love the little garland most of all. Or just print one to frame. So many cute ways to use them!
I found the ceramic Christmas typewriter at Ross and snatched it up so quick. It was one of those moments when you suddenly feel like everyone in the store is going to fight you for it. Ha!
Both ribbons are from Jo-Ann. I am so in love with the super wide striped ribbon that I think it will make an appearance on many Christmas trees in the future.
I shared a Christmas light hack a few days ago and it’s one of my favorite parts of the tree this year.
The special lights really add a magical glow to the tree. The tree topper is a wooden snowflake I painted and wired to the top of the tree.
Oh, and that sign? It’s made out of a gift bag.
Do you ever do themed trees? This is my first year really doing something with a strong theme and I think I’m addicted. It was really fun to put together!

I’ve done my best to find items that are similar to what I used, but since I did this tree in 2017, a lot of the exact items are no longer available. I still think you can get the look with the items below though. Just click on any picture to learn more.
This is our downstairs tree. Yesterday I shared the colorful paper flower Christmas tree in my girls room and I’ll be sharing our upstairs tree as soon as I get it finished, so stay tuned.
