Last week I shared Part 1 of my entryway makeover. Here’s a refresher of how this room started out:
Bland and boring! I wanted to add some drama, so I painted the space a rich, sophisticated navy blue.
The paint created the perfect blank space to decorate! I really wanted this room to look pulled together since it’s the first impression of our home, but I was not willing to spend hundreds of dollars getting it to look great, so I hit up one of my go-to home decor stores, Big Lots!
You would not believe the price of that sunburst mirror if I told you.
I also got this adorable ceramic fox. It lights up at night. I know, right?! I can’t even.
My daughter and I just couldn’t leave him at the store. Too stinkin’ cute! And I’m in LOVE with the giant mason jar. It has the cutest label on it that says, “Farm Fresh.”
I also bought three smaller sunburst mirrors to put between the slot windows. Can you see them reflecting in the big mirror?
So, do you want to see how I put it all together? The room looks so good! Check it out:
I already had the candlesticks and the lamp. They were the perfect additions to balance out my Big Lots scores.
You’ve got to see a night shot to show that cute fox and the electric candle in the mason jar all lit up:
Isn’t it a cozy, inviting entryway? I am thrilled with how it turned out! It’s quite the dramatic change:
I love how the gold, white and silver decor all pop against the navy background. It’s definitely more my style. I’m so glad I took the risk and went with the navy paint.

But where do the shoes and coats go??
Jennifer {The Craft Patch} says
This room is a square that sticks off the front of the house. There's a coat closet right next to this room near the stairs! I LOVE having all the coats/backpacks/shoes out of sight in that closet!

My entire house needs a refresh, but more than anything, my husband needs to finish painting the downstairs. It's half painted and has been since May – NOT cute. #client

It's Benjamin Moore Hale Navy mixed in Behr paint.

HI! I love your foyer!! It wouldn't seem possible with the dark "after" walls, but it looks brighter than with the "before walls. It may be an optical illusion, but it's almost like the light is more intense because the walls are darker and the light isn't so washed out 🙂

Hi Marla! Thank you so much. I totally agree… the dark paint doesn't make the room dark at all! I was definitely surprised by that.

Hi, lovely transformation. I love what you did with the dark paint and mirrors.
Where did you purchase those, please?
I like them.
Kind regards

Big Lots several years ago, but I’ve seen similar items at Hobby Lobby recently.
