Knitted Boot Cuffs

Now that all the gifts have been given, I can finally share pictures of what I’ve been working on all through December. First up, I knitted a pair of boot cuffs for my sister. It was a perfect project for a beginner like me… no increases or decreases and all basic stitches.

I used Lion Brand Baby’s First yarn, which I LOVE. It’s so thick and squishy! First I cast on 44 stitches. Then I did 2×2 ribbing on the top and bottom edges, stockinette stitch in the middle, and used an extra stretchy bind-off so they wouldn’t be too tight. I used THIS YouTube video to show me how to do the bind-off.

I love the look of the cuffs peaking out of tall boots. It adds just a little something extra to an outfit. So fun!
